Hello Educators,

You may or may not be aware, that one of the biggest reasons Educating Abroad was created was to have the opportunity to support children who do not have the opportunities many of us had when we were young.

One of the founding pledges we made is that we would donate 20% of the profits made to a children's charity every year. This in itself would not be possible without the support of you guys!

As this is our first year, we have chosen 4 of the most well-known international children's charities for you to learn about and vote on who should receive the donation. Please take the time to review the options and leave a vote in the poll at the top of this post.

(In no particular order)

1. Save The Children

Save the Children believes every child deserves a future. In the U.S. and around the world, we give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn, and protection from harm. We do whatever it takes for children – every day and in times of crisis – transforming their lives and the future we share.

2. Compassion International

Compassion believes child development equips children today with the skills to succeed tomorrow. Holistic child development provides opportunities that encourage the healthy development of all aspects of a child — spiritually, physically, socially, emotionally, and even economically.

3. Children International

Like the world-changers who support our organization, we are focused on making a long-term impact by helping kids living in poverty. We have a bold vision: graduating healthy, educated, empowered, and employed young adults from our program so they can achieve the goal of breaking the cycle of poverty.

4. Child Fund International

Help deprived, excluded and vulnerable children have the capacity to improve their lives and the opportunity to become young adults, parents and leaders who bring lasting and positive change in their communities. Promote societies whose individuals and institutions participate in valuing, protecting and advancing the worth and rights of children. Enrich supporters’ lives through their support of our cause.

Again we welcome you to review the charities above, you can also review more independent information on each of the charities here: Charity Watch

Again without you, this would not be possible, so a big thank you for being a part of and supporting Educating Abroad.
